Owen Roe

Sharecropper's Pinot

Oregon

Varietals:

100% Pinot Noir

Tasting Notes:

Silky and full of sweet cherry aromas. Smooth tannins support the beautiful blend of dark fruit and cherry flavors on the palate. A fresh, cleansing acidity lingers on the finish and is a welcome backbone to the wine. More cherry than earth on the nose, this wine is pure Americana and incredibly inviting and juicy. Enjoy not only with roasted chicken, but with fish, lamb and all manners of poultry. Drink now and over the next five years.

Owen Roe Sharecropper's Pinot
Perfect For Fall, A Flavorful Oregon Pinot Noir

— LIMITED AVAILABILITY —

($24.75 per bottle / $297.00 per case) I went pumpkin picking in the country this weekend with my family. The weather was perfect and it was clear that fall was in the air with a distinct smell of burning leaves. On the way home we stopped off at a New England style bistro to grab a bite. As I was perusing the wine list, I noticed and selected one of our store favorites, the Owen Roe Sharecropper's Pinot Noir which I paired that evening with roasted chicken in a wild mushroom sauce.
Silky and full of sweet cherry aromas, the 2006 Sharecropper's Pinot has an approachability and gracefulness that allows it to pair fantastically with food yet smooth enough to stand on its own. Sweet smooth tannins support the beautiful blend of dark fruit and cherry flavors on the palate. A fresh, cleansing acidity lingers on the finish and is a welcome backbone to the wine. More cherry than earth on the nose, this wine is pure Americana and incredibly inviting and juicy.
The 2006 vintage out of Oregon was another in a string of great vintages, further establishing Oregon as one of the premier Pinot Noir region in the United States. Enjoy not only with roasted chicken, but with fish, lamb and all manners of poultry. Drink now and over the next five years. Enjoy! Order Here.
