Bordeaux from the much heralded 2005 vintage are still some of the finest French reds produced in the last decade. The vintage is stunning from top to bottom with the quality rippling through the region.
    Finding good Bordeaux for under $50 a bottle is a challenge on its own. But finding one that's also from the 2005 vintage is simply unheard of. Because of the outstanding growing season and quality, 2005 Bordeaux are nearly impossible to find...but we did! From the cellar of Chateau Brillette comes a recent re-release of their exceptional 2005's.
     Chateau Brillette is one of the most highly reputed vineyards of Moulis-en-Medoc and is among the oldest in the region. The wines are a classically made blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
    Aromas of black licorice, coffee and currant follow through to a full body with velvety tannins and a long, flavorful finish. The wine gets more expressive while you let it breath. Decanting for 20 minutes will allow this beauty to shine and display its true attributes.
