THE REVIEW

As I sit here writing, intense room filling aromas of freshly cut green apples, cinnamon and baking spices leap from my glass making it difficult for me to put down the 2008 Colin-Morey Bourgogne blanc.
    Colin-Morey is an artisanal Burgundy producer whose wines literally arrived from France a week ago. We enjoyed this wine so much, we snatched up the lion's share of what made it to the United States.
    Boasting Chardonnay fruit from Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint Aubin, the wine has pronounced spice and citrus notes that work in tandem with a vibrant structure, creating a refreshing and dry, mineral backbone.
    Terrific now, the 2008 Colin-Morey Bourgogne Blanc will certainly become even more graceful with age. Enjoy it on the warmer side of cold to allow the nuanced flavors and aromas to open.
