     Angelo Gaja's Pieve Santa Restituta Brunello is a blend of the estate's finest single vineyard fruit, namely, Rennina and Sugarille. The 2012 Pieve Restituta culls some of the best attributes of these single vineyards in one cuvee; it is a classic wine with elegance and balance and is utterly ethereal.     A core of black cherry and plum has high tones of sweet spice. Notes of tobacco, mocha and fresh cut roses offer intense flavors. Fluid, long and beautifully integrated at this stage, the wine is amazing now but will only improve with age.
