THE REVIEW

Preparing for a trip is always an exciting time, especially when it involves wine country. The other night, my girlfriend and I booked a trip to the perfect vacation spot, Mendoza, the Malbec Motherland. Eager to get a jump on our much anticipated trip, we cracked open a bottle of the 2008 Taymente.
As soon as we opened the wine, aromas of the region filled the room and were so compelling it conjured up images of sloping hills, free range cattle and a little tango dancing.
This delicious wine has classic Malbec characteristics: a fleshy nose with wonderful dark berry fruits and toasted nuts brought out from the aging. Hints of spice dance on the palate with persistent yet balanced tannins that add a richness and roundness that make this Malbec quite nuanced and versatile.
Perfect for the upcoming July 4th weekend with friends and family, enjoy the Taymente with your favorite barbecue cuisine, as well as meat, pasta and strong cheeses. Given the incredible value, this is one to buy by the case for your summer enjoyment. Just delicious!Read More »
