    Anointed "Winemaker of The Year" on several occasions, his most recent was this year by Wine Enthusiast. His wines grace everyone's Top 100 List year-in and year-out. Prominently featured last October in Wine Spectator, Smith has now been featured not once, but four times as a standout. There is no hotter domestic winemaker today; his wines are some of the most highly sought after from Washington State.
    His high-flying Syrahs are members of the 90 - 99 point club for nearly every wine critic. All accurately boast about his big flavors and ability to capture the essence of Syrah.
