THE REVIEW

This is our second Sancerre Slayer offering this summer. Why? Though Sancerres are delicious, refreshing and elegant Sauvignon Blancs from France, we cannot overlook excellent values when they come our way.
    Wedged between the wine regions of St-Emilion and Graves is Entre-Deux-Mers, France. There, the limestone soil between the Gironde and Dordogne rivers grows brilliant Sauvignon Blanc, the likes of which rivals many from the Loire Valley.
    We've looked high and low for a sub-$20 Sancerre worthy of praise and have yet to find one. In the interim, allow us to introduce you to the amazing qualities of the 2013 Saint Glinglin Sauvignon Blanc. This wine gives Sancerre a real run for it money and must be added to your white wine arsenal this summer.
    "Saintglinglin" translates to when pigs fly - a reference to the scarcity of affordable AND good Bordeaux. A joint venture between famed sommelier Richard Betts and François Thienpont. Their mission? To make Bordeaux approachable again, without the dizzying price tag. To that we say, mission accomplished!
