Our most requested Barolo is back from Italy!
Silvio Grasso dominates this unheard of price point. We cannot stress enough this wine's incredible value within 2013, a vintage known for its quality.
At this price, Barolo can be your everyday red. Dried berries and cherries on the nose with a palate of silky cherry, dark berry, mineral and floral notes. A classic Barolo with nice grip, it is somewhat muscular with a hint of spice. The plum and tobacco on the finish offer wonderfully balanced accents.
What do we love most about this Barolo?
A good portion of this fruit goes into Silvio Grasso's "Turné" Barolo (95 pts and $50). Whatever doesn't make it into that single vineyard bottling, goes into this normale bottling. The influence of the premier parcels in this wine is unmistakable!
Here today, gone tomorrow, supplies are limited. We have two tranches of this wine: the first is shipping tomorrow and the balance shipping November 27th.
Pair with your favorite ragu, fresh burrata, medium-hard cheeses, wild mushroom risotto and roasted meats. We will be drinking this beauty from now until 2028.
Make sure you get enough to last you the next decade!
