We felt a distinct chill in the air yesterday morning. Did you?
Though we are holding on to summer as long as we can, there is a real sense that autumn is not that far away. We have even seen a few leaves change color. That means fall is on its way and it's Pinot Noir season!
One of our favorite Willamette Valley producers is Harper Voit. His 2014 "Strandline Pinot" is from one of the best vintages Oregon has seen in years. It is "stacked with plum and black-cherry fruit. Strong streaks of cola and dark chocolate add complexity, with lightly dusty tannins supporting the extended finish." Wine Enthusiast
Cutting his teeth at Shea Wine Cellars and Domaine Serene, Drew Voit has spent 16 years in the Willamette Valley perfecting his winemaking craft. It shows in the depth and character of his 2014 Strandline - with so little made, we are thrilled to still be able to offer this limited production Pinot.
