We've tried to find a better sub- $50 Cabernet over the years, but we simply cannot. This particular harvest of our best-selling Cab is from "a dream vintage." Wine Spectator
Our suggestion? With so little made, order first and tell your friends after!
Like prior vintages, Hollis features fruit sourced from some of the most premier vineyards in all of Napa. Previous vintages have included nearly 70% Stagecoach Vineyard Cabernet - some of the most sought after fruit in Napa Valley.
To put this wine's value in perspective, Paul Hobbs, the consulting winemaker for Hollis, makes his own namesake Stagecoach Cabernet, but that wine costs over $250 per bottle.
That's why in only its 7th vintage we cannot keep Hollis in stock!
"Silky" is the hallmark of this delicious Cabernet. Wonderfully lush, Hollis is specifically crafted to be enjoyed now and over the next five years even though most Hobbs Cabernets need a decade or more of aging before you can enjoy them. Ripe fruit gives way to complex aromas of baked dark berry pie. Hints of vanilla, spice and smoke fill the glass. Cassis, black cherry and tobacco offers mild tannins with notes of chocolate and coconut husk with a very long, lingering finish. A plush, velvety finish support integrated aroma of toasted French oak.
Don't miss out! Enjoy with your favorite grilled meats, burgers, cheese, or simply enjoy a glass on its own.
