Last night, I couldn't decide what to enjoy from my wine fridge.  Many of my Cabernets are still aging, the Syrahs were a bit too spicy for what I was eating, and the Merlots were a bit too fruity!  

Then I remembered I had 18 Meses, a gorgeous blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvedre, and Syrah from the makes of Bodegas El Nido Clio, Juan Gil. 

It was PERFECT!  The few guests we had over even thought it was Clio!

This masterful blend is not a "Baby Clio," nor does it want to be Clio. Juan Gil Blue 18 Meses was forged by taking the best of every varietal in Clio (Mourvedre and Cabernet) and added a silky Syrah kick. (60% Monastrell, 30% Cabernet, 10% Syrah). Red plums and black cherries frame the wine with hints of sweet spice, dark chocolate, and wet earth.  Full-bodied with polished tannins, each variety leaves its fingerprint on the wine.

We are constantly asked, "What can I enjoy while waiting for the next Clio release?"  

The answer: 18 Meses!

Not only is it owned by the same family that makes Clio, it's even made by the same winemaker!
