THE REVIEW

This is our Sauvignon Blanc "Pick Of The Summer." From Napa to New Zealand, we've spent the first half of the year swirling and sipping some of the finest Sauvignon Blancs from around the world.
Many were memorable; many were delicious; however, it was the newly released 2015 Hourglass Estate Sauvignon Blanc that stole the show.
You may have heard of the Hourglass Winery from their blockbuster Cabernet, which has a cult-like following. True to form, their Sauvignon Blanc (in only its 3rd release) is every bit as special as their culty Cab. This amazing white is far more reminiscent of juicy, freshly squeezed lemonade than anything we have ever tasted. Unlike most Sauvignon Blancs, which display young, tart citrus notes, Hourglass Sauvignon Blanc instead boasts ripe citrus fruit that dances around a dry mid-palate of minerality. Its texture - a fine, chalky silk - is one of the most mouthwatering sensations we've ever experienced in a Sauvignon Blanc.
A summer breeze and fresh oysters is all you need to go alongside this wonderful white. Primary aromas of lemon and lime zest, orange blossom and Granny Smith apples are followed on the finely grained palate of white peach, pineapple, hay, saline and hints of vanilla bean. Harvested from old-vine Sauvignon Blanc, the wine boasts vibrant, wet stone minerality - a wonderful counter balance and zesty tension to the exotic old-vine fruit.
Shipping now, this is an extremely limited white. Orders will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Enjoy! Read More »
