“Crozes-Hermitage from One Of Rhone's Finest!”

From One Of (If Not The) Top Rhone Producers!

By David Gettenberg
When it comes to Hermitage and the Rhone, no one does it better than the Jean-Louis Chave winery. Dating back to the 1400's, the winery is the master of Rhone terroir and Syrah. That makes this Crozes-Hermitage one of the most coveted expressions of Syrah being made today!
The Chave wines are in limited supply and their price tags reflect their scarcity. Fetching in excess of $250 per bottle for the Chave Hermitage, this iconic winery also offers the "JL Chave Selection," which is Chave's more "accessible" cuvee of wines for mere mortals and for everyday consumption.
The finest restaurants all have Chave on their menus - and so should you! Hand-sourced Syrah grapes from select parcels throughout the Rhone are given the same attention as the primary Chave wines. As such, these wines offer consumers the ability to experience the phenomenal wines of the Chave family at more everyday prices without sacrificing quality!
This particular vintage of Crozes-Hermitage offers wonderful mineral accents that can only be found in the Rhone. Aromas of blackberry and cherry carry a vibrant floral display. Rich and incisive, the red and dark berry flavors are supported by a dash of pepper and spice. A hint of smoke - also part of the terroir - and rustic tannins make this Crozes-Hermitage one of the finest we've enjoyed in quite some time. Enjoy now and over the next 5-7 years.
