2017 Caro may be the most compelling value coming out of Argentina (and the wine world). It is a Bordeaux blend of unparalleled expression.

Caro is the result of a collaboration between First Growth Bordeaux family (Rothschild of Chateau Lafite) and Argentina's Malbec master, Nicolas Catena.

Together, they have made an amazing red wine!  It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, a true lovechild between the best elements of France and Argentina.

What We Love About This Wine

Caro is a masterpiece.  Deep dark berries, forest floor, crushed earth, and tree bark resonate throughout the wine.  On the palate, the wine is soft, juicy and smooth with fine-grained tannins. Amazing notes of cassis, walnut, cedar, mushroom and rose petal on a finish that lasts for minutes.

By the way, if this wine were from the left bank of Bordeaux, it would be 3x the price.  Same for Napa!
