What happens when a First Growth Bordeaux family (Rothschild of Chateau Lafite) makes a red blend with Argentina's Malbec master, Nicolas Catena?
You get one amazing red wine!
Meet Caro, a blend of 83% Cabernet and 17% Malbec, a true lovechild between the best elements of France and Argentina.
These two grapes thrive in the high altitude and sunshine of Argentina; together, this Bordeaux blend is of unparalleled expression.
What We Love About This Wine
The 2016 Caro is a masterpiece. The wine exudes quality and complexity. Deep aromas of dark berries, forest floor, crushed earth, and tree bark. On the palate, the wine is soft, juicy and smooth with fine-grained tannins. Amazing notes of cassis, walnut, cedar, mushroom and rose petal on a finish that lasts for minutes.
We love this wine... It drinks like a juicy Bordeaux.
If this were from the left bank, it would be 3x the price!
