We are down to the last few cases of Cavallotto's blockbuster Barolo "Bricco Boschis."
I enjoyed this wine a few days ago (my second time since its release) and it is phenomenal.
This big-time Barolo received the coveted "Cellar Selection" and 99 points from the Wine Enthusiast.
It is both grand and polished, a rare combination in a young Nebbiolo (the grape in both Barolo and Barbaresco).
An ethereal nose with aromas of fresh raspberry, violet, pipe tobacco, leather, forest floor, crushed cherry, plum, dried spice, and eucalyptus. Vibrant tannins and bright acidity offer perfect balance to the fruit. The wine is pure finesse and elegance - rare for a young Barolo. It is a fantastic expression from this beautiful vintage.
In 2016, Piedmont experienced "a stunning, brilliant vintage." Vinous
This is our second feature from 2016 Piedmont. The first was Gaja's historic 2016 Barbaresco, which is nearly sold out and can still be enjoyed here.
Without question, premier wines from 2016 Barolo and Barbaresco should have representation in your collection! "This is an outstanding vintage, one with great varietal purity, impressive structure and wonderful cellar potential." Forbes
