Truth be told, if I am reaching for a Chardonnay on any given night, it is likely a white Burgundy. They are some of the finest Chardonnay's on the planet.
However, the 2016 Grgich Hills Estate Chardonnay is a head-turner. Rich and balanced it is one of the best expressions of this classic California Chardonnay that we have tasted in a while.
And, with grilling season upon us, this Chardonnay stands up perfectly to the smoky accents from the grill.

What is especially nice about this particular Grgich vintage is that you get classic butter flavors, but they are subtle and not overpowering. The balance and complexity of fruit really expresses itself in this delicious vintage.
