The new vintage of Auntsfield's "Single Vineyard" Sauvignon Blanc has arrived!
Last vintage, customers were fighting for the last few cases and understandably so.
Created by a glacier, Auntsfield’s “Single Vineyard” is located in a valley surrounded by the ocean. The coastal influence and cooling mirco-climate provide a long, slow ripening period reminiscent - but uniquely different from - a Loire Valley Sancerre.
As the oldest winery in New Zealand, the vines reach deep into the soil extracting exotic minerality that cannot be replicated anywhere.
Gooseberry, elderflower, and freshly cut grass intermingle with tropical fruit, lively grapefruit notes and fresh herbs. Refreshing and vibrant, the layers unfold with added notes of peach core, mango and lemon-lime zest with a dry, lingering finish.
Yields are kept intentionally low with only the most expressive fruit going into this cuvee.
A case purchase for certain!
