In a tiny village on the outskirts of Madrid is a small winery whose wines are in such demand they rarely make it to the United States.
There, wine bars and restaurants clamor for Camino de Navaherreros, the jewel of Madrid.
Best In Class!
Shortly after release, this Grenache based red disappears within the city leaving little, if any, for the rest of the world to enjoy.
You may recall, we featured this wine two years ago; the wine sold-out shortly thereafter.
Ready to ship, a mere pittance of an allocation has been released again to the United States. The 2017 vintage of Navaherreros is a delicious wine that lives up to its reputation and more. It has the weight and texture of a rustic Pinot Noir with the structure of a youthful Chateauneuf-du-Pape.
The vines of Navaherreros are over 80 years old and produce wonderful scents of strawberry, raspberry, rose, magnolia and Asian spices. Fresh and energetic fruit with sweet red berry flavors are unfettered by tannins. The spiciness repeats on the finish, which is long and pure.
Enjoy with steak, lamb or your favorite grilled fare.
Enjoy now and over the next five years.
