Clio, by Bodegas El Nido, is one of those wines that caught on by wildfire several years ago with its 97 point Wine Advocate rating from Robert Parker. Before that, only a small group of aficionados hoarded it for themselves - including us.

The warm, consistent micro-climate of Jumilla, Spain requires the old vine Monastrell (also known as Mourvedre) and Cabernet vines to reach deep into the soil. It is a wine that is uniquely smooth yet structured.
"Silky" is the word we hear most often when people ask for it.
Rich layers of dark fruit offer roasted coffee and earth notes. It is a full-bodied wine - but not overpowering - with great concentration and an extremely long finish.
