Yannick Alleno and Michel Chapoutier are both recognized internationally as world-class leaders in their respective fields.
Alleno is known for his culinary achievements at Le Meurice, Alleno Paris, and L'Abysse, where he was awarded multiple Michelin Stars.
Chapoutier is known for producing some of the most celebrated wines in the Rhone.
With a mission (and passion) to produce world-class gastronomic wines, Alleno worked hand-in-hand with Chapoutier to showcase Rhone varietals, their sense of place, and their food pairing ability.
"La Croix de Chabot" is a single vineyard in Saint-Joseph, Rhone. It was selected for its granite-rich silt, which throws off remarkable minerality alongside the dark fruit. Expressing lush blackberry, black cherry, deep-dark raspberry, the wine is wonderfully balanced. It is not extracted and shows tremendous depth with secondary notes of exotic spice, black olives, and hints of smoky wood. Long and fresh on the finish, no oak was used during fermentation to preserve purity in this lively Syrah with a rustic personality.
