Chateau Lynch-Bages is one of the most prestigious red Bordeaux producers.
A must-have for collectors with every release, few aficionados are aware they make a stunning Bordeaux Blanc, Blanc de Lynch-Bages. That's because so little is imported each year from their exclusive, 7 hectare limestone vineyard.
Prepare yourself for a kick of classic citrus notes from the Sauvignon Blanc, exotic white peach from the Semillon, and a lingering racy finish from the Muscadelle.
This wine has a lovely complexity with balance and lift and does that thing where it waits for a heartbeat, then makes you wait for a heartbeat, before releasing its stone fruit and succulent, slate-tinged citrus. The plots are on the west side of the appellation with more limestone in the subsoils helping keep the balance that is evident here. Two thirds of the juice was fermented in barrels with one third in stainless steel - it's juicy and pretty much ready to go." Decanter
We love this wine for its vibrant blend of Sauvignon Blanc (59%), Semillon (21%), and Muscadelle (20%).
A must have for seafood of any kind, this is a wonderful alternative to your finest Sancerre, especially if you are looking for a white that is a bit more layered and nuanced than your typical Sauvignon Blanc.
Extremely limited. Less than 10 cases imported.
