2019 Eladio Pineiro, Envidia Cochina Albarino

In the remote, northwest corner of Spain is Rias Baixas, a small fishing village resting on the jagged inlets of the Atlantic.

There, the coastal influence imparted in this delicious white is palpable!

We are thrilled that the 2019 Eladio Pineiro "Envidia Cocino" has just arrived.  We've waited three years to get this Albarino back from Spain.  So little is made.  Even less is imported.

The wine over-delivers once again!

Nutrient-rich waters and mineral-driven soil offer mouthwatering acidity, lemon, orange zest, lime, pear, grapefruit pith, a dash of saline, and touch of beeswax and dried basil.

From grilled prawn, oysters, octopus, and scallops, to sea urchin and lobster, this amazing Albarino will pair with any crustacean creation you can thing of (alone or tossed in fresh pasta).

An added bonus?  The wine is organic and biodynamic, which adds to its refreshing and mineral driven frame.
