Antinori collectors delight, Sassicaia fans swoon, and red blend fans rejoice!
The 2019 Sette Ponti Oreno is among the "Crown Jewel's of Tuscany."
A wine sourced from an area so beautiful there are experts convinced the winery is perceptible in the far right background of Leonardo DaVinci's Mona Lisa.
Oreno is a gorgeous blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Petit Verdot. Aged in French barrique for 18 months, this wine is unbelievably silky soft on your palate.
"Wow! Fantastic aromas of blackberries, currants, minerals, violets, and graphite. Full-bodied with firm, silky tannins that are incredibly polished and intense, yet ever so refined and integrated into the wine. It goes on for minutes. This is one of the best modern-day Orenos so far." James Suckling
This release from Oreno is a guaranteed sell-out and deserves special merit coming from the 2019 vintage, which has been rated 5 Stars by the Brunello Consorzio.
You don't need a special occasion to open a bottle, but each bottle is sure to leave a remarkable impression. Few wines can compete with the glamour and elegance of this Oreno, which checks all the boxes. It is an incredible addition to any cellar, home-cooked meal, dining experience, or simply with a wedge of Parmigiano.
