DOMAINE DE TRIENNES

ST. AUGUSTE

Provence, France

[DRC and Dujac Joint Venture]

[90 pts Wine Spectator 'Top Value']

Varietal(s):
Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot

Tasting Notes:

DRC and Dujac have transformed this stunning 100 acre site into one of the top wine estates in Southern France. Triennes is an elegant blend of the Domaine's best casks of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. It shows spicy aromas of cherry and dark berry combined with ripe fresh fruit. The palate is full of life with plenty of structure, however, it has a smooth finish. This Provencal red can be enjoyed now and over the next five years. Enjoy!

Domaine de Triennes
'Top Value' In Provence By Romanee Conti Progeny

— LIMITED QUANTITIES —

($19.95 per bottle / $239.40 per case) Why would Domaine de La Romanee Conti and Domaine Dujac - arguably the best Burgundy producers in France - start a joint venture in Provence? Answer: They made an everyday wine for themselves!
    The legendary winemakers of these Domaines have created Triennes to enhance their salads for lunch, Provencal pizzas for dinner and everything they grill on their outdoor barbecues.
    Dujac and DRC's wines sell for $400 and $1,500 per bottle, respectively. They have taken their expertise south of Burgundy to Provence to perfect not Pinot Noir, but Cabernet, Merlot, and Syrah. In less than 25 years, they have transformed Domaine de Triennes' stunning 100-acre site into one of the top wine estates in Southern France.
     Triennes is a blend of their best casks of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. Elegant, the wine shows spicy aromas combined with ripe fresh cherry and dark berry fruit. A ripe bouquet reveals flavors of plum and black cherries on the palate intermixed with cracked pepper and cloves. The finish is smooth with wonderful nuance.
    You'll want to add this DRC progeny to your wine repertoire. It is a terrific example of a great value red with great pedigree. At an everyday price, this "go to" red will pair with grilled meats and chicken as well as hard and soft cheeses. Order Here ».
