The 2019 Pra Otto Soave Classico just made the "Best Wines Under $20" by the New York Times.
We couldn't agree more! We featured this gem in October and wrote:
Pra is the go-to Soave producer in the Veneto. Period! The demand for this gorgeous Italian white is unprecedented.
Previous vintages of Pra's Otto Soave Classico have been featured in Wine Spectator's Top 100.
Having hit the store a few weeks ago, everyone who has tasted it has come back for more!
"Nicely balanced and very tasty white with aromas and flavors of lemon, pineapple and peach. Creamy mineral notes and a tinge of herb, too. Medium-bodied with a fresh, relaxed feel and a pleasant, lemon-cream and pineapple finish. Very refined feel." James Suckling
What We Love About This Wine
Value can be a subjective term. But, the flavor and quality (and price) of this Italian white is so compelling, you too will say, "This is a best value!"
We literally cannot keep this wine in stock.
The wine hails from Monteforte d'Alpone, a subregion of Soave. Black volcanic soil imparts power, minerality, and lift to this versatile white, which never loses its finesse among the bright backbone of the wine. The kick of lemon zest on the finish makes it a great food pairing wine.
Speaking of food - from gnocchi to risotto to scallops, and any pasta dish with garlic, you'll relish each sip.
Enjoy!
