Too many customers have relished Domaine Serene's "r" Rosé for us not to mention that Release "X" is sadly coming to an end.
So what did we do? We took it all!
You may recognize Domaine Serene as one of Willamette Valley's finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay producers.
Release "X" is their 10th release of this outstanding rosé - as denoted on the cork with a prominent "X."
Mostly Pinot Noir with a dash of Chardonnay to retain vibrancy, this winning combination is dry and zesty with exotic notes of citrus blossom, guava, young watermelon, wild strawberries and freshly picked raspberries. On the finish, it shows cherry notes and a hint of sage. It is complex with a silky finish and a distinct grip imparted to it by the soil. If you were to taste it blind, you might swear it was a Bandol beauty.
Here's also a little known secret: Domaine Serene uses all estate fruit in this outstanding rosé which includes Pinot Noir that has produced multi-year Wine Spectator Top 100 results. Even their Evenstad Reserve Chardonnay cuvee has won several Top 100 slots, the fruit of which is also in this amazing rosé.
I will be keeping a few bottles chilled in my refrigerator at all times throughout the summer - that is until this release is all gone.
