It's too early in the season to call this our 2017 Chateauneuf Pick Of The Year - but we are tempted! That's because the 2014 Clos des Brusquieres is stunning and "a must-buy for fans of graceful
Châteauneuf-du-Pape." Vinous, Josh Reynolds
Clos des Brusquieres is a one man, one wine, 8 hectare estate that impressed us beyond expectation with its silky texture, balanced tannins and classic aromas of Rhone terroir.
An elegant style, Clos des Brusquieres has the most distinct and intoxicating wild blueberry aromas.
Unlike many CDP's, this wine is incredibly approachable in its youth with a velvety texture as its calling card!
Beautifully pure notes of cassis give way to an ample range of blueberry and blackberry preserve, blood orange, and singed apple wood. The long finish is succulent with a stunning bouquet of kirsch and mocha.
Vibrant and energetic in the mouth, blueberry and blackberry flavors are framed by creme de mure. The tannins are balanced and add wonderful structure.
A rare Chateauneuf find at this price point, you can drink it now and over the next 10 years.
Pair with lamb and meats of any kind. Hard cheeses are equally at home with this delicious Rhone red. Enjoy!
$39.95 per bottle / $479.40 per case
