If only there were more...

We tried procuring as much of the 2011 Chateau Pedesclaux as we could, because this plush Pauillac is one of the most inviting young Bordeaux wines we have tasted in quite some time!

A classic Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, Chateau Pedesclaux is a fifth growth (‘Cinquième Cru’) and part of the 1855 Classification, which has in it only 61 red crus, 16 of which are in Pauillac. That makes Chateau Pedesclaux part of an exclusive Pauillac pack.

What is most striking about Chateau Pedesclaux is its rich, plush entry and seamless integration of fruit and structure, while still retaining the aromatics of earth and dried wild roses.

"A ripe, plush, modern style, with a ganache note leading the way for crushed plum, blackberry and currant pâte de fruit notes. Lots of briar and anise on the finish lends a grippy feel. Rock-solid. An estate rapidly on the rise." Wine Spectator

So good, so smooth.
