2013 Cascina Bruciata, Barbaresco "Rio Sordo"

One Of Piedmont's Grand Crus!

Sooooo pretty and such an incredible value!

With its soft, expressive cherry, dried rose petals, sage, spice, and fine tannins, the 2013 Cascina Bruciata Barbaresco reminds us of a well-balanced red Burgundy.

But, there is no mistaking the Piedmont influence in this single vineyard Nebbiolo from the Rio Sordo cru (often referred to as one of Barbaresco's Grand Crus). The finish is unmistakable with its clean, precise spine.

Understated elegance!

This is an incredibly approachable Barbaresco - graceful with subtle finesse.

What do we like most? The soft, sour cherries keep you coming back for a second sip.

This is a perfect pairing for chicken or veal Milanese. It will not overpower the meal; rather, it will complement the balsamic notes in the arugula and has just the right amount of structure to cut through the oil and breaded protein of choice.

We already received word from the importer that the next release is increasing by $10/bottle. From a fantastic vintage, make sure you take advantage of one of the prettiest Barbarescos around.

$39.95 per bottle / $479.40 per case

Sooooo pretty! Cascina Bruciata's Barbaresco is a pretty and expressive Barbaresco from the Rio Sordo cru that shows red cherry, dried rose petals, earth and fine tannins. With finesse and grace, it is a wonderful representation of Nebbiolo, the noble grape. This delightful Barbaresco has a lot in common with a graceful red Burgundy. An amazing value!

"Interesting aromas of plums and light coffee follow through to a medium body, firm tannins and a savory finish. Soft and polished. Drink of hold."
