Nicolas Jay, Pinot Noir
Nicolas Jay is made by Jean-Nicolas Méo of Burgundy's famed Domaine Méo Camuzet. Bringing his Pinot Noir talents to the Willamette Valley, Méo was blessed with a near perfect harvest in 2014.
As a Wine Spectator Top 100 wine and receiving their "Editor's Choice" and "Outstanding" rating, the 2014 Nicolas Jay Willamette Valley Pinot Noir represents the best of an amazing vintage: complex fruit, depth, and elegance in Old World charm.
This is a vintage not to be missed and it is a wine to be savored.
Luxurious layers of blackberry and raspberry jam underscored by rich tannins. Black tea, dried cherries, and fresh herbs. Rich and expressive on the palate, the wine’s structural elements provide lovely tension to an elegant and nuanced finish.
Extremely Limited. First come, first served.
#96 TOP 100 OF 2016
[Outstanding & Editor's Choice] "The 2014 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir opens up with luxurious layers of blackberry and raspberry jam, underscored by rich tannins. Beneath the bright expression of fruit lies sophisticated notes of fresh loamy soil, black tea, dried cherries and the sweetness of fresh herbs.
