The 2015 Vatan Tinta de Toro received a staggering 97 points and an emphatic, "this thrilling wine could compete with wine costing 3-4 times the price."
Perfect for burgers through the balance of barbecue season, you get luscious notes of currant, deep rich cherry, tar, balsamic, espresso, and dense, velvety tannins.
Cabernet Sauvignon fans, you will be hard-pressed not to opt for Vatan over your Caymus, Silver Oak and Jordan. With a bit more red fruit than the latter, Vatan will make you question your Cabernet collection!
Suggestion #1: Order first and tell your friends after... there isn't much to be had (only 20 cases left to be exact!)
Suggestion #2: Serve it alongside your favorite burger recipe.
Suggestion #3: Make a meal of it on its own simply with a wedge of Manchego.

"Seeing the same élevage as the 2016, the 2015 Vatan offers a slightly more saturated color as well as smoking good notes of blackcurrants, smoked earth, melted licorice, violets, and dark chocolate. Fabulous on the palate as well, with full-bodied richness, flawless balance, ripe tannins, and a great, great finish, it's a primordial baby at the moment, yet this thrilling wine could compete with wine costing 3-4 times the price."

The 2015 Vatan showcases luscious notes of currant, deep rich cherry, tar, balsamic, espresso, and dense, velvety tannins. If you are a Cabernet Sauvignon fan, you are going to be hard-pressed not to compare this terrific Tempranillo to the likes of Caymus, Silver Oak, and Jordan. Delicious with burgers, but equally compelling simply alongside a wedge of Manchego.
