La Flor y la Abeja ("The Flower and the Bee")
This little bee has made quite a journey, just in time for Spring.
Each sip and swirl of La Flor y la Abeja ("The Flower and the Bee") evokes imagery of beautiful vineyards, meadows, buzzing bees, tapas by the ocean, and quite simply, Springtime.
Swirl, sip, savor...repeat.
"The Flower and the Bee" is made from 100% Treixadura, grown in the Avia Valley of Spain just off the Atlantic coast.
While this may not be a grape you are familiar with, it is one you are going to love.
Smooth as silk, it has wonderful aromas of beeswax, honey, grapefruit and pollen. Clearly, "The Flower and the Bee" is named after the gorgeous blooming white flowers notes that fill the room with every glass.
With bright, zesty acidity on the finish, we can think of few wines that embody Springtime as much as La Flor y La Abeja.
Enjoy it as the locals do with tapas, however, we feel it is an all summer long pour on the patio.

"A Treixadura with a herbal, leafy aspect and pithy undertones. It is powerful in its greenness, but there is also a caramelised pineapple complexity, with spice, richness and great personality."
THE WINE ADVOCATE
"The 2016 The Flower and the Bee (labeled 'La Flor y la Abeja' in Spanish) is produced from Treixadura from the Avia valley in granite-rich soils. It has a floral nose, very clean and precise, with very good freshness and very good acidity. It finishes dry, with the strict sensation of the granite. This is remarkably similar to the white Ailalá."
