We first introduced you to Chateau Leoube two years ago with their stunning "Secret de Leoube," the older vine cuveé of the wine we are featuring today.
Today's wine, the 2017 "Rosé de Leoube," is the estate's younger vines. It is bright and crisp and one of the best rosés of the vintage.
With zesty, tangy fruit, a touch of wild berry and lovely acidity, this beautiful rosé has "delicate strawberry fruit with enticing red currants and a touch of black pepper, sage and peppermint; classy and crisp with a lush creaminess and long length." Decanter
Even the nearby sea has left its mark in the mouthwatering finish that reveals a hint of welcome saline.
The Leoube Estate is nestled in a coastal fringe, a stone's throw away from St. Tropez. This estate is run by Romain Ott, former owner of Domaine Ott. Since the Ott Family has taken it over, this nature preserve has been converted into a wine and olive tree sanctuary.
Nature meets agriculture in this picturesque setting. With 100 acres dedicated to wine vines and 40 to olive trees, the Leoube winery calls themselves organic artisans by the sea.
Indeed, they are!
With a focus on sustainable farming, the estate uses natural practices and iscertified organic.
We can't recommend this one enough!
