It's wines like Gaja that make people passionate for Italian reds. Wine Spectator has called Gaja's wines "the finest Italian wines ever made."

"The 2015 vintage is a historical year for Brunello di Montalcino that nobody should miss. The wines show impressive precision of vivid fruit, fine tannins and freshness in acidity despite their ripeness and richness which makes them some of the most exciting in years." James Suckling

Angelo Gaja's Pieve Santa Restituta Brunello is a blend of the estate's finest single vineyard fruit, namely, Rennina and Sugarille. The wine culls some of the best attributes of these single vineyards in one cuvee. A historic Gaja release, the wine shows dark cherry, aromas of orange peel, cedar, truffles and spice. Fluid, long and beautifully integrated, the wine is amazing now and will only improve with age.

Silky is the word most often used when they refer to Gaja's Brunello.  With a classic vintage like 2015, this is one Gaja vintage you are going to want to procure.

Enjoy!
